Malay, Indian and Chinese names
APA orders names by family name. Chinese names usually put the family name first (Tan Mei Ling → "Tan, Mei Ling"). For Malay and many Indian names without a family name (e.g. Ahmad bin Ali, Kavitha a/p Raju), write the full name without a comma and it is kept as written. Check your faculty guide too: some universities set their own rule.
